Is Facebook single-shaming us?
Singletons beware: Facebook is on your case. This week, they unveiled their latest ploy to get their hands on our relationship (or rather, lack-of) status. From now on, if you're single on Facey, or simply haven't filled in your relationship status, they will put it on display for you. And plonk it on your profile. And tell others to ask you why you didn't want to tell them about it. Publically. Good.

The new Facebook 'Ask' button, should your mates – or 'mates', or long-lost relatives or exes – decide to press it, will send an irritating little message to you. An infinite number of awkwardly intimate conversations are due to start, "Hello! I am wondering about your relationship!" Your response can range from simply answering, updating your profile, or ignoring the request altogether.

All the same, the potential danger this button might bring is endless. Friends can then openly debate about the state of your love-life in full view of the other 789 or so people you barely speak to. Baby-obsessed relatives can remind you that you're 'not getting any younger'. Or pervy boys can gauge when might be appropriate to request a picture of your boobs.

If you're coupled-up and have disclosed your relationship to Facebook already, then you can breathe a sigh of relief. Zuckerberg doesn't want your data, or tears, right now. Everyone else, buckle up – and let the single-shaming begin…

AND ANOTHER THING...
How to work a body
We've heard plenty about this summer's cropped and off-the-shoulder tops, but Kim Kardashian – aka the queen of body baring - has come up with a new way to showcase her assets and it's a blast from the past.

The soon to be Mrs West has been rocking a wardrobe of nineties style bodies and leopards in the run up to her wedding. So would you too work a body? These are the Dos & DONTs.

DO capitalise on the body sculpting power of a body. Think of the classic Azzedine Alaia full skirt and body combo – seriously chic.

DON'T go too tight OR too loose. If your middle isn't perfectly honed, a thicker material is advisable.

DO explore different cuts – deep back lines are always stylish, but too much side boob a la Kim K can look cheap.

DON'T team a nude body with anything vaguely skin matching. As you will look naked.

DO check out American Apparel, Wolford and Donna Karan for great bodies.

And finally DON'T wear the look to a festival – popper fastenings in a portaloo are seriously not practical.
