| How many mates have you seen flaunting a brand new, whopping great diamond on their Facebook page recently? Too many, right? Well, now you might start to see an altogether different kind of ring popping up on your newsfeed: a keyring. Because, apparently, instead of a ring the size of a house weighing down our left hands, these days we are far more interested in the actual house, thanks very much. A new poll has found that more than half of women in relationships said they'd forgo an engagement ring in favour of putting down a deposit on a house. Not only that, 60 per cent said they'd rather buy a house than spend money on a honeymoon. Surprised? We aren't. Property prices seem to be all everyone is talking about these days. With experts warning that homeownership will fall below 50% within a generation, owning your own place has become the new divide and homeowners are the new Smug Marrieds. So surely it makes WAY more sense to put the money towards a house rather than your fiancé putting a 'down payment' on a massive sparkler. But what say you? Is 'getting on the property ladder paranoia' sucking the fun out of love? And would you prefer to say 'yes' to a deposit or a ring? Vote here >> |

| AND ANOTHER THING... |
 |
 | | We're now fully accustomed to a never-ending whirlwind of fashion revivals (Timberland boots! Bumbags! Slogos!) but there's a particular fashion item we didn't see coming: stirrup leggings. This revival is being led by one experimental lady, Sarah Jessica Parker. Doing her very best Carrie-fication whilst on the promo tour for her SJP shoe launch in the US, these sheer stirrup tights have played an integral part in a series of kooky outfit choices. Well, they do highlight a shoe in a way we've never noticed before, so this may be a savvy choice from our favourite tutu-wearer. But this may not be as wildcard a choice as you think: with ski-pants on the catwalks and the fact that Kim Kardashian won't stop slipping into her Alaia leggings a bigger resurgence in the legwear department could be on horizon. Not convinced? Grazia HQ certainly isn't, but with stirrup tights costing a mere £5.75 at Pamela Mann, one can perhaps afford to make a mini mistake this spring…
